It’s no secret that celebrities love their precious pooches. Here we showcase some the spotlight-stealing dogs and their owners. This time we chatted to champion Australian athlete, middle-distance runner, Tamsyn Lewis Manou about her Hungarian Vizslas, Indie (14) and Willow (nearly 6).
Are they the first dogs you have owned?
My first dog was a Labrador called Curly, who appeared in an Ansett campaign during the Sydney Olympics (even though they used a stunt double).
Why did you choose this breed?
Both my girls are Hungarian Vizslas and I absolutely love the breed. I didn't actually choose the breed. My husband, who was then my boyfriend did when he got Indie.
(I had to marry him to get the dog!). But the breed suits my active lifestyle perfectly. When Australia's athletics federation didn't pick me for the London Olympics, I was so upset my husband asked me if anything would help and I said a puppy vizsla. That was when Willow came along. It's still an absolutely beautiful amazing silver lining!
Where is your favourite walking track of park to take your pup to?
My favourite place to walk them is Dendy Park in Brighton East and Sandringham dog beach in Melbourne. In Queensland, I love Kedron Creek in Brisbane and Main Beach Dog Beach on the Gold Coast. My favourite post-walk cafe is White Rabbit in Church Street, Brighton.
Are they inside or outside pets?
They are definitely inside dogs. Don't get a Vizsla unless they can be inside and be 100% part of the family.
What is his favourite food?
Indie loves Willow's food, while Willow loves anything she can eat slowly to torment Indie.
Describe your pooches in a sentence:
They are loyal, energetic, loving and they perform their full time job as my shadow perfectly.

We think Willow and Indie would love the Coffee Cup chew toy for when Tamsyn is enjoying her post-walk latte.
