Bay Trail, Port Melbourne VIC 3207
Most popular times: 12:30pm - 7:30pm
A wonderful beach to take your pooches, definitely the best one that is in closest proximity to the City. The council is known to be diligently enforcing rules at this beach, so make sure to stay in the allocated Dog friendly area. You shouldn't have too much trouble parking if you're not within walking distance.
Sandown St, Brighton VIC 3186
Most popular times: Usually not too busy but can be between 5:30pm - 8pm
"Absolute doggie wonderland"! Has a great selection of dog friendly cafes in the area. Great shallow water for those dogs who love a swim! Best to park down nearby side streets, as there is no allocated carpark.
Jetty Rd, Sandringham VIC 3191
Most popular times: 5pm - 8pm
A beautiful spacious beach with shallow water to wade in, and shower facilities to rinse off. A great note to keep your fur babies away from the pier, as there's known to be a lot of stinky seaweed, which would be heaven for any dog to roll around in! Apart from that, it's a beautiful off the leash beach, with different terrain for your dog to explore!
Altona Rd, Seaholme VIC 3018
Most popular times: Not usually busy at all throughout the day
A great safe beach, with a good stretch of grass area separating the beach from the road! Again great shallow water to play in, although has no shower facilities. Plenty of places to park in the area.
389/390 Beach Rd, Beaumaris VIC 3193
Most popular times: Usually a little busier between 9am-3:30pm
Carpark is nice and close to the beach entrance with a water fountain and toilets. Nice and safe to let your dogs off the leash as the beach is completely separated from the road. A bit rockier than a few of the other beaches but still lots to explore.
